Rose Symbol Educational Complex – Sustainable & Innovative Construction Project
Â
   Overview
The Rose Symbol Educational Complex, covering a total area of 12,000 m², is one of SIGC’s flagship educational building construction projects. Designed with a vision to create a modern, functional, and sustainable learning environment, the complex includes multiple classrooms with a combined capacity of 500 students, along with a state-of-the-art amphitheater seating 400 guests.
This project showcases SIGC’s expertise in innovative architecture, steel structure engineering, and eco-friendly building solutions.

Project Challenges & Engineering Solutions
This construction project faced significant technical and environmental challenges, requiring advanced engineering techniques:
1.High Groundwater Table
.Challenge: Excavating in an area with a high underground water level.
.Solution: Implemented specialized groundwater management systems to ensure stability during excavation.
2.Unstable & Contaminated Soil
.Challenge: The site was filled with waste materials and loose fill soil (hand-filled soil).
.Solution: Performed soil stabilization and applied a nailing system to reinforce surrounding retaining walls.
3.Extended Construction Timeline
.Challenge: Temporary suspension delayed the project to 1.5 years.
.Solution: Revised scheduling, optimized resources, and accelerated final phases.

Structural & Architectural Features
Energy Saving Excellence: In the southern sections exposed to direct sunlight, Sun Energy glass was used to significantly enhance energy retention. Additionally, walls, pipelines, ducts, and especially the central mechanical room were equipped with advanced insulation systems to prevent electricity and fossil fuel wastage.
- Lightweight & Optimized Design
Material selection was strategically planned from the design stage to reduce the dead load while ensuring durability and safety. - Mixed Structural System
- First 8 meters: Reinforced concrete without steel columns.
- Upper levels: Steel frame structure, making the project predominantly steel-based.
- 1,000 m² of uninterrupted interior space without central columns, with columns only along the perimeter.

Â
Sustainability & Water Management
- .Groundwater Reuse System
Underground water was redirected to storage tanks for reusing in wastewater systems and the swimming pool. - Advanced Water Treatment
Systems included UV filtration, ozone generators, and chlorination to ensure water purity and safety.
Safety & Compliance
- This project follows NFPA (National Fire Protection Association, USA) standards, delivering top-tier fire protection and emergency safety measures.
